The finding was made in one of the three complexes of Liyang Ancient City, one of the capitals during the Qin and Han dynasties (3rd century BC-1st century AD), explained Liu Rui, head of the team working there.
Liu explained that «the baths are very similar in shape, structure and size to the baths of the imperial palace of Xianyang«, Another of the capitals of that period, adding that«could be the oldest toilet facilities in China«.
Xian is one of the most important centers of archaeological sites for being one of the cradles of Chinese civilization, and for being in its surroundings the famous Terracotta Army.
